Andi Watson is a multidisciplinary artist and designer, experienced in creating immersive environments for performance to exist within. By understanding artists and their audiences he creates bespoke worlds that connect the two, both consciously and subconsciously.
As a show and production designer, he is adept in using stage, lighting, and video design and combining cutting edge technology with fundamental principles to create unforgettable experiences, and memories for audiences.
With a background in engineering and the arts and a lifelong quest to understand how people perceive the world around them and use that perception to build their own reality, his installations explore the uniqueness of the human mind and how emotional connections are made and remembered.
His work has been recognised internationally with multiple awards in both Europe and the USA.
Andi has lectured and run classes for students at LIPA, Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Rose Bruford College where he is an Honorary Fellow
A book on his work, “Bulletproof I Wish I Was” by Christopher Scoates, was published by Chronicle Books in 2011
